COVID-19 VACCINE INFORMATION

Following Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine, vaccination efforts are underway at Hampton Regional Medical Center. We are working closely with the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (SC DHEC), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and other local and state agencies to ensure our COVID-19 vaccine distribution plans are equitable and safe.

With supplies of the COVID-19 vaccine limited, South Carolina has developed a phased COVID-19 Vaccination Plan that establishes how the vaccine will be distributed. As of March 31st, Phase 2 began and includes all people 16 years and up. For detailed information regarding who is included in each phase of the state's vaccination plan, please visit SC DHEC's website here.

Hampton Regional continues to vaccinate individuals. If you qualify to receive the vaccine, please submit a vaccine request to vaccinerequest@hamptonregional.org. Please do not contact the hospital or Coastal Plains physician offices by phone to schedule an appointment.

Note: You must schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine. No walk-ins are allowed.

This page will be updated regularly as vaccine distribution plans change. In addition, up-to-date information regarding the vaccine is provided through the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Continue to Follow Safety Precautions

As we await vaccine supplies to become more widely available, we strongly encourage you to continue practicing preventative measures to slow the spread of COVID-19:
  • Maintain at least six-feet of distance from others.
  • Wear a face mask.
  • Wash your hands often.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
